The UK airline to provide complimentary fast onboard wifi via Starlink agreement

Travelers flying with British Airways can soon access high-speed connectivity onboard free of charge following a major deal with the billionaire's satellite company.

Free plus High-speed Wifi Available to Everyone

The carrier revealed that this complimentary, “quick and reliable” wifi offering through the satellite provider is set to be offered for customers flying economy, business, and premium cabins as of next month.

Widespread Rollout Over Several Flight Operators

The umbrella company of BA, International Airlines Group, stated it had reached an partnership with SpaceX to offer internet access for over 500 jets operated by the group's carriers, including Aer Lingus, Iberia, plus the low-cost airline.

Uninterrupted Internet from Boarding through Arrival

British Airways explained that this implementation for the system was included in a multi-billion pound “upgrade” initiative that will deliver lag-free connectivity service to travelers starting at boarding through arrival, also when in flight over oceans or remote regions.
