Keely Hodgkinson finished her 800m season with a win at the women-only Athlos meet in NYC on Friday evening.
{The reigning Olympic champion, who earned bronze at the World Championships recently, dominated an impressive win in one minute 56.53 seconds in what was just her sixth appearance in a year impacted by a hamstring injury.
Fellow Briton and global silver winner Georgia Bell finished second once more in 1:58.33, while the athlete from St Vincent Shafiqua Maloney (one minute 58.57) claimed third.
"I've barely raced this season so it was likely less of a struggle for me to compete and want to give it something," said the 23-year-old.
"The environment out there is incredible so it was really, really fun."
The women-only event packed Icahn Stadium in its second year, bringing a party atmosphere to conventional athletics, with musical performances and special crowns substituting traditional winners' medals.
The 23-times tennis major winner Serena Williams, who is wed to Athlos founder Alexis O., was present to award the winners with their crowns.
Previous champions took home $60,000 (£44,603) - one of the largest prize purses in athletics.
The competition also attracted some of the sport's biggest names, as the Kenyan triple Olympic champion and global record breaker Faith Kipyegon triumphed in the mile race, crossing the finish line in four hours 17.78 minutes.
The US Brittany Brown, the 200m bronze medallist from the recent Paris Games, won the 100m and 200m double.
